Meet Shelley! Shelley Marcus has the distinction of holding three Masters degrees, one in French literature (Rutgers), another in art history (Boston U.), and finally library and information science (SJSU). She grew up on the east coast and after moving here as an adult, instantly fell in love with California with its beautiful scenery and delicious Mexican food. Her favorite roles of being a librarian include being “embedded librarian” in various classes at the Fontana campus; creating “Readers’ Advisory,” first in person and now online, encouraging reading for pleasure; and, along with English Department colleagues, organizing student contests based on the college book. More than anything, Shelley is committed to helping students succeed and feel a sense of belonging here at Chaffey. Shelley enjoys reading widely, all kinds of music, walking in nature and playing with her cat, Lilly. Connect with Shelley!
Faculty can contact a librarian for help with accessing library resources, ZTC & OER textbook support, or librarian-led information literacy instruction.
We are excited to share with you what's new at the library.
