The dictionary defines evaluate as "to judge or calculate the quality, importance, amount, or value of something."
Evaluating information and assessing information is crucial, especially in our current environment where information spreads very quickly.

Misinformation is defined as false information that is spread, regardless of whether there is intent to mislead. ~ Dictionary.com
Misinformation is not intentional. Some examples include unintentional mistakes such as inaccurate photo captions, dates, statistics, translation, or when satire is taken seriously. Misinformation may occur after natural disasters such as hurricanes, earthquakes, tsunamis.
The person sharing the information does not know or may not know at the time that it is false.
Disinformation is "false information deliberately and often covertly spread (as by the planting of rumors) in order to influence public opinion or obscure the truth." ~ Merriam Webster.
The person sharing the information knows that it is false.
Malinformation is deliberate publication of factual information but used out of context to deliberately harm or mislead. It is information used to inflict harm on an individual, or a company, or a country.
