Checkout Policies:
Only you can use your library card to check out library materials. Allowances may be made for professors and students/staff with long term disability or illness.
Replacement ID cards can be purchased for $8 at Admissions & Records. Replacement ID cards are FREE on Thursdays. For more information, please visit:
Materials on reserve for a class are kept behind the desk at Circulation. You will need to have the call number of the material for the staff to find it (it will usually begin with the letter RES).
If you do not know the title of the textbook you need, the Chaffey Bookstore has a search engine on its site (click on Textbooks on the top of the Bookstore homepage to access), where you can search for the titles of the required and optional textbooks for a course.

Fines are accrued by returning library items after the due date/time. Your account may be blocked if you owe the library any fines.
If you would like information on your blocked status or your fine please contact the circulation desk or log in to your library account:
Pay your fine in person at the circulation desk with cash only.
Failure to pay your fines will result in your account being blocked, at which point, you will be unable to register for classes.

To renew your books, you may bring your items to the Circulation Desk with your Chaffey ID. You can also renew online from the Library Catalog. Overnight reserve books must be returned and renewed at their home location.
Other Important Information:
You can return library materials at any of our campuses at the Circulation Desk. Rancho Cucamonga also has a book drop located in the north-east corner of parking lot #2, next to the library to return materials when the library is closed.
In order to checkout a group study room, the following policies must be observed:
By signing in to use a Group Study Room, you understand that you are responsible for the conduct of persons using the room while checked out under your name. Any violations will result in removal from the room and may also result in loss of checkout privileges for rooms and disciplinary action.
You are welcome to utilize books and other print resources within our library. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide full privileges including, but not limited to, item checkouts, computer use, database use, and group study room use.
