How to find OER texts
1. Set aside time
Searching for OER takes time and persistence, just like research
2. Look at your current text
Is your current text available through department or library resources? Ask a librarian to see if an ebook license is available from the textbook publisher.
3. Locate an OER text
- Check the ASCCC resource page for resources by discipline
- Check with your department and fellow instructors for recommendations
- Ask if your department has a TTP (Textbook Transformation Project) Coach
- Check out the resources available in the Chaffey College Textbook Transformation Project Hub
4. Browse open repositories
Browse the links available in the TTP Hub. This list contains many helpful online repositories and descriptions of each site. Includes links to online photo repositories. You must first log in to Canvas and have enrolled in the TTP Hub to view.
5. Ask for help
Contact Chaffey's ZTC facilitators for more information and help with any part of the process
