A human library is a library of books – except the books are people. A reader can check out these human books and have a conversation with them for 20 minutes. The conversation will focus on whatever the human book shares as part of their story. The Human Library event is usually centered around specific themes, such as: Careers & Majors (fall 2015) or Equity & Diversity (spring 2016).
We expect books to present themselves in an authentic way through a positive exchange. Books and readers are asked to treat each other with tolerance and respect.
