Umoja and CCSJ present a screening of Spike Lee’s BlacKkKlansman, based on the true story of Ron Stallworth, a Black detective in the Colorado Springs Police Department who sets out to dismantle the KKK from within.

Go from “YELLING 2 YOGA” with Dat Yoga Dude as he breaks down, mindfulness, meditation, yoga, and self-love during this virtual interactive session. James Woods has his master’s in counseling, is a registered yoga instructor, and is CEO of Dat Yoga Dude a health and wellness organization that provides equitable Social emotional learning solutions for educators and students. For over a decade he has focused on developing evidence-based practices which are aligned with social emotional learning competencies to create lasting change in schools, students, and communities. James is an author, speaker, teacher, and founder of “Million Man Meditation” an annual event providing wellness resources for community from African American men.

NAVIGATING POLYAMORYNavigating Polyamory and Open Relationships with Sasha Jones

Sasha Jones is a Los Angeles-based community organizer. She is the CEO of Cuties Los Angeles and the co-creatress of POC Camp and Very Close Ties. She has a passion for creating spaces and facilitating connections. Sasha is also a budding cannabis farmer and grows with a local co-op of Black cannabis farmers, Black Bloom. She is a plant and animal lover, the Mother of 2 cats, a snake, and over 50 houseplants.

History of the GriotsHistory of the Griots

From drumming and dancing, all the way to hip hop—the griotic (storytelling) tradition holds the history of our ancestors. Come learn about the griots who continue to create, share, and shape the history and culture of the African Diaspora.

Juneteenth is the oldest known US celebration of the abolition of the chattel slave system, and the emancipation of enslaved African Americans in Texas. Celebrated on June 19, it became an official national holiday known as Juneteenth National Independence Day by law on June 17, 2021.
